Located in the tranquil valley of Great Fryupdale, North Yorkshire our Shepherd’s Hut offers the chance to experience the countryside and nature. Surrounded by trees, the trickle of the stream and the slow pace of British hill farming without the worries of camping.
A traditional log burner keeps the hut cosy, it has a small kitchen area with toaster, kettle, fridge, gas ring and microwave for an easy breakfast. Outside there is a gas BBQ, Swedish wood fired hot tub and large firepit for more adventurous cuisine.
For your comfort there is an ensuite shower, toilet and hand basin in the hut itself. Cotton sheets, duck feather, down duvet and pillows ensure a good nights sleep in the double bed. Towels, handsoap, hair / body wash and toilet rolls are placed in the bathroom for your use.
Tea, Coffee and sugar are available and there will be a small loaf of local bread in the bread bin, butter and a pint of milk in the fridge. Other items can be ordered by prearrangement and special occasion requests may possibly be catered for.
Outside the hut is a decked area for sitting round the firepit and BBQ. There is also a covered area where you can hang up your walking gear and sit out of the elements if necessary.
We are in a great location walking as a quiet public footpath runs along by the hut leading to numerous walks around the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors.
Bike hire is available just a mile away at the Yorkshire Cycle Hub, they do a great breakfast too! Alternatively, bring your own bike, there are rides to suit everyone, as long as you don’t mind hills!
